I have to say this is an easy one for me because even though its what many backpackers do it was slightly different for me... My first flight ever was to Australia to go for a 12 month working holiday and luckily i loved the flying experience which was just aswell due to the fact i picked a destination thats almost the furthest point away from my home town in the U.K.
I went straight to Oz without doing the travelling part in the far east which if im honest with myself i slightly regret but still oz was simply amazing.
I loved doing all the normal things such as Sydney opera house, harbour bridge, Great Barrier Reef, Cape Tribulation, Byron bay, surfers paradise and let's be honest many many more places.
It was such an experience and being back in 2005 let's be honest my money went alot further which was great so for 3 months I played hard before having to get a job to pay my way through the next 9 months.
